Western Australia and Japan |

Celebrating friendship and prosperity

Thank you for your interest in Western Australia. We are proud of our status as the largest state in Australia and powerhouse of the Australian economy. Western Australia and Japan have a long-standing trade and cultural relationship, and the Government is committed to supporting and strengthening this vital relationship, which is among the most important for our state.

The Government of Western Australia’s comprehensive representative offices in Tokyo and Kobe are key contributors to this relationship. These offices provide the lead for the many state agencies active in the Japanese market, helping to identify and facilitate opportunities for our exporters, and promoting Western Australia as an investment and tourism destination.

Expanding on their role of supporting the growing resources trade, our Japan offices also help to introduce an increasingly diverse range of new Western Australian exporters to the Japanese market, and assist Japanese companies looking to invest in our state.

The offices also play a critical role in the successful Sister State relationship between Western Australia and Hyogo Prefecture, helping to develop and promote opportunities between the two and the wider Kansai region.

As an extension of the services and information these offices provide to promote the relationship between Western Australian and Japan, I hope that you will find this website a useful portal for doing business.
