Study in Perth Information Seminar

Perth offers excellent study environment and student employment opportunities You’re invited to attend an information seminar on international study in Perth, Western Australia, hosted by an ICC (International Cross-Cultural Committee) in Tokyo on September 19th. At the seminar, Momoko Toyama from the Tokyo office of the Government of Western Australia will introduce Perth and Western Australia, and the learning, lifestyle and employment advantages that studying in WA offers international students. She will also answer any questions attendees may have on Perth, Western Australia, and its universities.

Perth and Western Australia provide an excellent study and living environment, making it an easy place to live, with high quality learning, lifestyle, and business coming together in the state capital Perth. With WA’s resource driven economy and stable employment, it is also possible as a student to find part time that offers a high hourly rate – the average hourly wage in the state is $19, and international students with appropriate visas are eligible to work part time to off-set living expenses.

Who should attend:
Workers, high school, university and graduate students and their parents who are interested in studying in Australia. Attendance is strongly recommended for attendees of the Australia University Fair to be held in October (see below for more information).

Seminar content:
An introduction to Perth and other cities in Western Australia, with practical information for international students on living in WA, and specific information on WA universities, scholarships and student loans including the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University.

Study in Australia Fair
You’re invited to attend the Australia University Fair hosted by an ICC (International Cross-Cultural Committee) in Tokyo on October 10th and Kyoto on October 14th. Representatives from 16 leading Australian universities will have booths at the Fair, including all universities in the Group of Eight, and the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University from WA. In addition, Momoko Toyama from the Tokyo office of the Government of Western Australia will be available to answer any questions you may have about living, studying and working in WA.

Key content at the Fair includes:

• Introductions by 16 Australian universities
• Students and graduates who have studied in Australia will share their experiences
• Information on available scholarships and other support for students
• Information of post-study employment
• Information from Australian state governments on the living and learning environment in the various states
